Dry Lining

Magply is ideally placed for Dry-Lining specifications that require quick installation, less weight, breathability and fire protection and boards are manufactured 1200mm x 2400mm in 6,9,12 and 18mm, bespoke sizes are available on request.

As a high performance, multi-functional board Magply features a Magnesium formulation to offer a fire-rated environmentally friendly board for the highest quality dry lining.

Additionally the unique production process of Magply keeps the Chloride content to just 0.01% enhancing both stability and long-term durability. Magply offers architects and specifiers a one board solution for impact, strength, rigidity whilst providing effective sound insulation and fire resistance for High Performance Dry Lining Applications.

Under EU Regulations Magply has been classified as Euroclass A1 and has been certified as Class 0 surface spread of flame.

We specifically do not recommend the use of PVA or other proprietary primers and under no circumstance use Self Adhesive Glass Tape on joints

Magply testing for Dry Lining

BS EN 1364-1:2015(Non-Load Bearing Wall)

Magply has been tested to determine the fire resistance in a non-Load bearing steel frame partition wall assembly, for the following periods.

Test Results: BS EN 1364-1:2015
Integrity:

  • Sustained Flaming 90 minutes*
  • Gap gauge 90 minutes*
  • Cotton Pad*

Insulation: 69 minutes
Cotton Pad: 84 minutes

Fixing and cutting

Magply the safe option for Oakworth homes customersScore-and-snap the board firmly using a straight edge as a guide. Pull the board edge upwards to snap. Straight cuts: Magply is easily cut using a carbide tipped scoring knife. Circular cuts: Use a standard masonry hole saw fitted to a drill or a jig saw.

Fixing Magply Fasten Magply with adhesive, nails or screws (approximately every 200mm). Tape joints before tiling. Fixings are 15mm from edges and 50mm from corners of sheets. Note: We specifically do not recommend the use of PVA or other proprietary primers and under no circumstance use Self
